I had the opportunity to take Wendy’s bridals at The Bell Tower on 34th, which is right around the corner from my house. : ) The Bell Tower is a new event center but is already very popular.  Wendy looked absolutely gorgeous!  I can’t get over her tiny waist.  Her dress fit her perfectly and she had a beautiful hand stitched cropped jacket.  All of the bead work must have taken hours to complete.

Bill and Erika are Married!

August 23, 2010

Congratulations to Bill and Erika!  They had a beautiful wedding ceremony at Westminster Presbyterian Church and had their reception right around the corner at the at the San Luis Resort in Galveston, TX.  Bill and Erika are a genuinely nice couple and I enjoyed photographing their special memories.

Some of the unique details included table plaques with the names of their favorite TV shows.  Who wants to sit at the Nip Tuck table?  I though that was a novel idea. Erika’s cake was also to die for.  She had a hot pink and orange fondant cake with large white tropical flowers.  How cute!   Erika wore her sorority pins on the petticoat of her dress and carried a family handkerchief.   Also, notice her bird’s nest veil.  Love it!

Congratulations Kristin and Davis on your new baby girl!  I was so excited when my friend Kristin asked me to take some maternity photos for her. I was happy to be able to document such a special time in their lives.  I especially love how all of the park photos turned out. Kristin is such a beautiful mother.

My Adorable Nephew

July 26, 2010

My mother-in-law rented a house on Lake Travis this weekend.  I had a great time with my husband’s family and had the opportunity to take a few photos of my nephew.  He is growing so quickly and will be a big brother soon.  He is so cute!

Paul and Megan were married at All Saints in the Heights and had their reception at the Heights Fire Station. I have not been to All Saints since my aunt and uncle were married there years ago.  It was nice to be back in such a beautiful church.

Paul and Megan were full of emotion and it was a lot of fun to photograph all of their different expressions.  Their expressions ranged from joy to anticipation to silliness to everything else in between.  Paul and Megan really seem to have fun together.  They were able to joke around and enjoy every moment of their day together. The reception was a the Height Fire Station and it looked like everyone was having a blast.  The Fire Station was a very unique place and I would highly recommend it to couples looking for for a venue with personality.

I had so much fun running around the Heights with this couple. They were such a pleasure to photograph.  I told them that they were going to be tired of smiling when we were done.  I think I was right.  Beth and Richard were both really getting into the photo shoot and I think it shows. I captured some GREAT shots of them and enjoyed myself as well.  These are the days that I LOVE my job!

Here are some images I captured with this lens this weekend.  All Saints in the Heights is a beautiful church and this lens did an amazing job of capturing the color.  These images were taken without a flash at 1000 ISO and standing towards the back of the church.

I met Dawn on the day of her bridals at the Houstonian.  Dawn’s hair/makeup lady was there in one of the hotel rooms and was busy finishing her intricate hairdo.  She had curls cascading down to one side and her make up was flawlessly airbrushed.  She looked amazing!  We started shooting inside and then braved the wind outside.  I though Dawn’s bridals turned out absolutely fabulous.  Dawn picked a great location and she couldn’t have been easier to work with.

Sara’s Bridals

April 25, 2010

I thought it was going to rain but it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day.  Sara had her bridals taken at the Amber Springs Event Center.  The grounds of  were quite beautiful and the inside had a fun rustic charm .  I love how the the photographs turned out with the sun bursting through the door.

Edwin proposed to Wendy in Galveston, TX.   Galveston was a special place for the bride and groom and they thought this would be a great place for their engagement session.  We started at Ashton Villa and then finished with the sunset on West Beach.  Wendy and Edwin are an extremely nice couple and I enjoyed getting to know them.
